Even though it was sad to say goodby to Jake and his wonderful family, we were excited to drive to see Benjamin and his new baby sister, his parents, and Dan's sister, Barb.
After anticipating a 3 hour drive...we actually took 5 and half hours. OK...we did stop a couple of times, but my goodness...the traffic! I'm so glad we don't live anywhere near where the DC traffic affects my life!
Fortunately, Benjamin's family didn't hold our later arrival against us...and it was lovely to see everyone! We stayed up and talked and made plans to see a farm tomorrow. As Benjamin was going to bed he made sure his daddy wasn't going to work the next day and that EVERYONE was going to go on our outing. As Sean reassured Benjamin that, yes, everyone was going...Benjamin wasn't convinced about me. It seems I was wearing a "work" shirt, not a play shirt. (A work shirt buttons down the front...like Sean wears to work and church.) Note to self: Tomorrow, wear a shirt with no buttons!
