Day 15: People (And Shopping!)

Three different lots of people in one day made for one long day on the road...also three resturants.  We decided to stay out of the house all day and give the Schneiders some space, so in between times we checked out a used book store, a Christian book shop, and a Toys R Us.  While in Virginia we will help Sean's church with their Vacation Bible School, doing the "missions" slot.  The curriculum they're using has some unusual ideas about mission ("save the environment"...which is always a good idea, but not exactly the Great Commission), but the church gave us leeway to tell our own stories instead...This requires a tad more prep.  The Toys R Us stop was in search of a ball that was a globe.  We also stopped at a Babies R Us in light of certain grandbabies...but fortunately for the budget, it was so overwhelming with all multitude of items and choice, we didn't buy anything.


Good news:  A new ministry partners, and a list of new people to contact.  Yahoo!

    Ah yes, the environment stuff. More like service projects than missions. And if you're looking for baby clothes we can always go to the outlet mall while you are here. Carters, OshKoshB'gosh, and a few others, and they usually have a good sale on. (BabiesRus isn't too far either if you want to try your luck there again :P )

    BABIES!!! I am so clucky these days. =P We just watched a narration-less documentary called 'Babies' that followed four babies (one Namibian, one Mongol, one Japanese and one San Fansiscan) from birth to first steps. They were so cute! My favourite was the Mongol baby. He was always talking and singing, even if there was no one around. =)

    Wow babies r us looks huge!! Don't spose there's a chance of flying a double stroller over in your luggage :-P
