Day 33: "Flying Machines!"

We spent the afternoon with Sean, Rebekan, and Benjamin at the National Air and Space Museum.  Dan was in his glory.  The SPACE SHUTTLE was there!...along with every other flying machine that you could imagine.  We saw gliders, planes, balloon baskets, helicopters (fold-up portible ones, etc.) 

We saw a glider with a small propeller that had a bicycle for the pilot's seat...so he could pedal his own power.

 
We saw the plane that dropped the bomb that ended WWII and that devastated Hiroshima.

At the end of our visit Dan bought a souvenir mug with a picture of the Space Shuttle and had the name "Danny" on it!
