Day 34: On the Road Again!

We said good-bye to Leesburg and Sean's family, and travelled to Newport News to see Kevin and Kim. 

There are so many ways to find out where you're going these days.  We had a map from AAA (plus their book of various points of interest in different cities), we had Dan's smartphone with GPS, and we had a Google map and directions given us by Sean & Rebekah with their tried and true route...which differed slightly from AAA.  Choices, choices, choices.  So what did we do?

We decided to consult and use all the various helps at different points...then branched out on our own and ignored the direct route to stop for dinner and go to a bookshop.  Such stress to be independent go against the grain...but hey, life's an adventure!

We got a book on CD to listen to in the car and ate at Chili's Restaurant for dinner, to sample their famous baby-back ribs.  Yum!

We arrived at our destination safe and sound, and were greeted by the cheerful household of Kevin, Kim and Jake.  (Contented sigh!)
