This was our first day on the job! We took pictures of all the big furniture pieces and Grandma's good dishes. A friend from church will put them on Craig's List tomorrow. (I think it's sorta like Trademe in NZ.)
Dennis and Sandra bought the piano for great-granddaughter Riley to take lessons on. The movers came today to take it away. Even though it left a bare wall, it's fun to think of little Riley playing it!
Our pile of what we want to ship back to NZ is growing. (Yikes!)
Sure enough, the real estate agent phoned at lunchtime to say someone wanted to look at the house at 5:00. We had to leave for about an hour...but Grandma has a brilliant little manuver. She parks in front of Mrs. Jollif's house with the car pointing away from her house...and stays long enough to see the person who's looking the house over through her rearview mirror. (Dianna Greene told her about this idea that they used when they sold their house.)
So, just before 5:00, there we were...slinked down in Grandma's car. Grandma was at the wheel, but trying to look inconspicuous every time a car drove by. Dan was next to her with his seat back down and looking through the mirror on his visor. I was in the back seat laying on my side, trying to see through Dan's mirror. What a hoot! I'd never have the stamina to be a secret agent, b
