Day 33: Folks Who Came!

What a day!

We had a LONG day, but met such a variety of people. There was the man from Ghana who was a nurse and was interested in finding pots and shoes to send back to Africa. (We didn't have shoes, but he found a
lot of pots and pans!)

Dodie came, who was Grandma's friend from high school days and they played in the dance band together...and also worked in a music store together. Her former husband, Bud, had painted the picture with the clarinet in it and had given it to Grandma and Grandpa for a wedding present. Grandma will have no place for it and she thought Dodie's kids might like to have it.

The Seymours came and sent their love to you kids in New Zealand. Bob, Livia, Anna, and Danny came and bought Grandma's everyday dishes and mugs among other things. They told us Sara is getting married next month and will need some of the things to set up house...and then took Grand
ma and us out to eat at a Chinese place downtown. Sure was good to see them.

There were others as well: a man with a dog, who had a girlfriend who Sandra thinks pinched a salt & pepper shaker, the man who bought the Fijian ukelele and was fascinated with the story behind it, and the older woman who had lost a daughter recently, but had decided to thank God for her life rather than blame Him for her death...

Wonder what tomorrow will be like!

  1. Wow, what a day! By "former" husband I assume you mean "late" husband in referrence to Bud right?
