Day 29: Walkin' With Grandma!

We got up early to walk with Grandma this morning. She sets a brisk pace! We must have waved to 10-15 people. Grandma says one day a school bus drove alongside of her, opened its door, and the driver asked, "Are you early, or am I late?"

When the days started getting lighter earlier, Grandma started her walk earlier. One day she had a woman come out of the house and take her to task for throwing her husband's schedule off. People look for her, give her friendly toots with their horns...She has this neighbourhood well-trained. I wonder if Conrad, Iowa is ready to be loved and greeted in the early morning?

When she gets to the track, she does a couple
of laps. She created friendships with a Japanese lady and a Vietnamese lady. The Japanese lady recently moved and gave mom gifts.

It was fun looking at the houses and seeing how people have improved (or not) their property. One house stood out from all the rest. What do you think of their colour choice? It makes you try to imagine the personality of the owner!
