Back again. (Did you miss me?) We've been collecting some photos of local wild life to show you.

During Brooklyn's first birthday party Jan saved a toad from being squished underneath Eric's car tire.![]() |

After much discussion, we decided to go to Kennywood Amusement Park for our 33rd wedding anniversary. (Dan spent much of his childhood at that park, and amusement parks in California were a popular place for us to go to when we lived there.) After riding some rollercoasters (which nowadays seem to have narrower seats, by the way...tee hee), and going on a 3D ride through Garfield's nightmare, we floated around in a paddleboat beside some baby ducklings, who seemed unconcerned by our big boat bearing down on them.
In the coffee shop the other day, I looked up and thought we'd been joined by a wolf. On second glance, I realized it was a huge German Shepherd...Still, an unusual sight!
And, last night for dinner, the Mills served the biggest baked potatoes I've ever seen. They were the size of NZ hedgehogs! Besides wildlife, we've also been talking with new and old friends. For instance, yesterday we attended Wilkensburg Church and helped to celebrate Pastor Janet's 25th anniversary at that church...Some of those people have known Dan since he was knee-high to a grasshopper!

I missed you!
ReplyDeleteYay, you're back! Fun pictures. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat does Garfield's nightmare consist of... An empty fridge with spiders hanging outside?
ReplyDeleteIt was more like pizzas attacking, giant ice creams with faces, etc. Not really scary...the ride was more like the traditional "tunnel of love" if you didn't look through your 3D glasses.
