We weren't sure if Mike would remember us. It's been probably 26 years since we've seen him. We've changed (just a bit) and Mike has had a tramatic brain injury.
I think by the end of our visit, after sharing stories about teaching and life in Palau, he put it together. Since he only talks in one to three word sentences...sometimes, it isn't always easy to know what he's thinking. I tell you what though, I was his partner in a game of Sequence against Jennifer and Dan, and we did pretty good. Mike and I were evenly matched. (I don't know what that says about me.) We won one game out of three (which is more than I win playing against Laurie!)
