Grandpa's blood test showed that he was severely anaemic and needed an immediate blood transfusion (part of the continuing problem with his spleen), so Dan drove him at 6:30 this morning to the hospital in Latrobe.
While Grandpa was busy being transfused, the family at Bevington Rd. did an afternoon of yardwork, and Dan came back so we could pick up the cuckoo clock.
Grandpa was finished late afternoon, and the Mairose/Mills connection made a feast for us all in Latrobe. (So Benjamin got to meet the whole family! Matthew is very excited not to be the youngest in the family anymore!)
We finished up with a campfire in their forest...There were extra kids there (Zac's friends), plus Dave and Melanie arrived from Philly.
It was good being together with everyone. What a bunch of nice people!
The party continues tomorrow, starting with church. (Hope Grandpa has a GOOD sleep, and he'll feel stronger to enjoy it!)
