Here's a curly riddle for you:
Grandma's real estate agent asked her permission to bury a statue of St. Joseph is her yard...to help the house sell. Grandma said she didn't usually deal with saints...she just went right to God. (And she was imaging some huge statue in her bushes.)
The real estate agent brought out the statue, which was only 3 inches. The lady said in needed to be buried upside down, (I think she said it should be a certain number of feet from the house.) I think Grandma was giggling with the lady by this time.
Grandma thought it was all ridiculous, but let the lady do it. Grandma asked her if she knew who Joseph (who married Jesus mother) was. She said no, so Grandma bought her a little Bible today and underlined the story of Joseph. (There was also a gospel presentation in the front that she put two stars by. teehee)
Some people at church thought she shouldn't have let the lady bury the statue. What do you think?

St. Joseph...3 inches tall...upside down...buried in Grandma's yard?! How bizzar and yes, giggle-inducing! =) I guess what's the harm. There's no satanic power associated with it and it definitely paves the way for some interesting discussions which Grandmama seems to be taking full advantage of. =)

ReplyDeleteLast night I talked to Grandma on the phone and she was in the garage just putting away the trowel - she said that she decided to dig up little Joseph and return him to the real estate agent. When the house sells, she wants the lady to know that it was God who sold it, not St. Jo!
