Day 18: Then There Was Light!

We took Grandpa to get his picture taken for his driver's license. (It needed to be done before his birthday.) The lady at the desk asked for lots of info...checking his ID, I suppose, as well as making sure things were current. When she asked for the last for digits of his Social Security Number, he rattled off a long one and asked, "Is that it?" The lady looked concerned and said, "No." Grandpa laughed and said, "Oh, that's my army serial number!" Then he came up with the correct digits! She took his picture, and he's good to go!

Dad bought a new porch light for the screened-in porch. I don't know if you remember the old one, but it had been broken and was held in place by a thin wire. Well, the wire broke and it was just dangling there. Dad put the new light fixture in, and what a difference! It looks so much better!

Also...we just got some exciting news from a couple who needed a light at the end of their tunnel! (I think Nathan and Julie got an email, but we can't discuss it on Facebook! TeeHee)
