2016 Trip to the States: "Peeling Apples!"

After a morning of challenge to not be anxious, but trust in God (We spoke in two churches back to back which were fairly far apart and didn't have much room for the error of taking the wrong turn that we did.), we had a fun family afternoon of peeling many of the apples we picked yesterday.

Leigh brought out the family "crank!" 

No, it was not a person, but the apple peeler and corer.  Leigh let me try the device on one apple and it was a thrill.  The faster I cranked, the quicker the apple was peeled.  While Leigh handled the crank, Grandma and I wielded our paring knives.  Marijke manned the stove.  She made apple sauce, then apple crisp.  (Dinner was good tonight!)
