Going to the hospital today we took a different road, so we asked the GPS lady the quickest route. We followed her unquestioningly...but we did look at each other with raised eyebrows when she had us turn into a graveyard. But lo and behold, the road through the graveyard took us to a main street, and off we went!
Grandpa had two major procedures done today and they took their toll...but hopefully tomorrow he'll feel better. Fluid was removed from the lining of his lungs, and they put a scope down his esophagus to see how things were healing.
(He gave Dan a wink today, and that made me feel good!) I really admire Grandpa's ability to make people feel appreciated. He has a habit of surprising doctors and nurses into a smile. What a lovely man!
