Day 6: Dedication

Today after church, the repainted gym was dedicated in memory of Grandma and Grandpa and their ministry to the Wilkinsburg community.  It was a wonderful time...especially to hear a couple of speakers say how the Mills had touched their lives.

Late this afternoon and continuing throughout the evening, Latrobe was hit by a lightening storm that was pretty spectacular.  Instead of the lightening pointing down toward the earth, it went across and shot what looked like sparkler sparks.

Since swimming was out, Kim Daugherty thought we should have an Wii dance competition.  She made out a chart, picked names at random to pair dancers together.  The winners of each round went to the next round.  Josh Mairose was the grand dance champion this year.  (When it was Dave's turn, he put on a pink sparkly wig.  Kim decided that the wig would be the trophy.  Each year the winner's name will be written inside of it with the date.) ---Which sounds good if you don't think about the fact that Dave had the wig hidden inside his pants before he pulled it out for his turn to dance!

    1. We didn't but Kevin got some, and we'll try to get copies. I was like a family tree lightning where one bolt would go a short distance in the sky and then spit into 2, then the 2 bolts would go a bit further and split into 2 more - and by the time all those lightning bolts stopped, there would be 8-10 bolts at the other end of the sky. It's hard to explain; even the Mills' & Mairoses said they had never seen this kind of lighting before. None of it was hitting the ground - all just flying from one side of the sky to the other!
