Highlights of the past week:
We went to Burgatory in Pittsburgh with the Rocks for our last night with them. It was a pretty fun double date...and about the only time I've ever not finished a milkshake because I was just too full. The restaurant was like a sports bar with flair. The burgers were custom made according to a piece of paper you fill out with your particular choices of bun, meat, veggies, sauces, cheeses, etc...as well as how you wanted your meat cooked (rare, medium, well done.) The milkshake choices were creative and delicious. I ordered a salted pretzel caramel milkshake. Who knew that crushed pretzels and caramel sauce would be so good with vanilla ice cream?
From Pittsburgh, we traveled to Leesburg, Virginia to stay with Sean and Rebekah for the weekend. Saturday, Kevin and Kim drove up to spend the day with us all. What fun people and good friends those nephews and wives have turned out to be. Benjamin and Sarah reminded us of Caleb and Donna, both in personality and how they interact with each other.

On Sunday, we spoke 5 minutes in each of the three church services, and 10 minutes in a high school Sunday School class. What a challenge: to remind people who we are, thank them for supporting our ministry, invite them to care about people halfway around the world, and inspire them from the Bible...all in 5 minutes! The Sunday School class was more fun. They had two tables set up in front, each with two chairs. One table was for us, the other for the interviewers who had written questions from the group.
Sunday afternoon we drove from Virginia to Avonmore, PA to attend a church pie social. This church has a group of older ladies who have prayed for and given to our ministry for years. I sat across the table from a girl who was about 8 years old, by the name of Kailyne. Dan sat across from her father who was named Dan. What are the odds. After pie, we talked about our ministry in PNG and the people there asked many good questions. What a full...and filling...day! (My apple pie was delicious!)
We are now back in Latrobe...and had a very relaxing day, which included naps! (We also met Henry and Brooklyn...but more on that later.)
