Tillamook & Cannon Beach!

It's been great to be back in Portland for the last 3 weeks! We've met several people and are planning to speak at Grace Presbyterian Church this Sunday (June 7th).

Last week we all went to the beach! Kaylynn's mom hadn't been there for over a year, so it was fun to go back for all of us! We had a very clear sunny day (though the wind was quite cold).

We first went to the Tillamook Cheese factory – a place we always need to stop. We ate free cheese sample (love the curds!) and watched all the workers dressed in white below us slicing and packaging cheese.

We then drove north to Cannon Beach and strolled along all the shops – lots of variety and very creative stuff. We tried to stroll on the beach, but the wind was an icy one and it was hard on our heads. Laurie & I (Dan) spent some time on the sand later, which was a lot of fun.

We then ate clam chowder in sourdough bowls at Mo’s restaurant, another stop we try to make every time we go back. It was a very relaxing time (in the midst of all our phone calling) and good to see that the Oregon coast.
